Do I need to be a strong athlete?

No. From novices to enthusiasts, CBT participants vary widely in ability and experience.

 

Do I need to know bicycle repair?

No. CBT Guides are experienced in handling bike repair with access, and the sag wagon carries an extensive array of tools and spare parts.


Do you have any suggestions for purchasing airline tickets?

We have a longstanding relationship with a full-service travel agency (contact us for details).


What about my European arrival and departure?

We provide group transportation to and from your first and last night's hotels at no additional cost.


What are your bicycle safety guidelines?

Our routes typically avoid main roads and high traffic areas, focusing instead on back roads and bike paths. Additionally, our routes are updated several times a year. At the start of each tour, CBT staff will conduct a safety meeting to go over road rules and safety tips.


Do I need to speak a foreign language?

No. In most of destinations, you're sure to find locals who speak English. And all of our guides speak at least 3 languages.


What about medical attention?

CBT guides are Red Cross certified in CPR and first aid. They also maintain a list of medical facilities for each region in which we travel.
